The GoGear line of portable MP3 players by Philips includes an array of models with various features and storage capacities. Philips employs its proprietary 'Songbird' software for ease of music download and management from files on your computer, and you may also download entire music libraries from iTunes. If your Songbird software does not operate properly, has not been installed or if you are using an older GoGear model without software, you may use the 'drag and drop' method to download MP3 music files.
Download Music Using Phillips Songbird Software
Step 1
Install the Philips Songbird software by inserting the CD and following the installation instructions on your computer.

Step 2
Plug your Philips GoGear MP3 player into your computer with the supplied USB cable. The GoGear player will turn on automatically and launch the Songbird Software. Plug the GoGear player into your computer with a USB cable. The player will turn on automatically and your computer will load the drivers and recognize the device as an external drive.
