Unfortunately, the next morning when we were not as weary and able to see more clearly, we found hair under the bathroom sink, in the foyer, and in our beds. It was clear that we were given a room that had not been cleaned properly.That morning during checkout the Front Desk staff member asked how our stay was and I responded, 'I'm so glad you asked. May I please show you some photos?' After showing her the photos of my room she conceded that the cleaning staff was inundated with guests traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday and that management did not have time that day to quality check the rooms.She added that she was not able to refund our stay but that she would take care of..Travelers, here is 'the good', 'the bad', and 'the filthy':

When we got ready to depart we discovered our battery was dead and were pleased that she offered our children some snacks for the road. My husband was able to get a jump from a fellow guest and we were off on our way.
'The BAD' - Later that day we received a call from Vincent who apologized for the filthy room. He stated their hotel was voted in the Top Ten hotels in the area and mentioned on numerous occasions that this was an 'anomaly' and that the young lady who 'cleaned' our room would receive re-training. He also added that he would increase our reward points to 9,000 which would place my husband in 'Gold Status'.
My husband travels often in the military and was excited to have the opportunity to use his new perks. Unfortunately, after weeks of calling for an update on his status we learned we did not receive 'Gold Reward Status' with the 9,000 points and we were informed yesterday that the General Manager did not have the authority to offer us Gold Status. More shocking than the promise: my husband called the hotel yesterday and the same staff member who assisted us during our stay said she was standing next to the General Manager when he called and she claimed 'he never said those words'.
If you take a look at my Yelp account you will notice that we've stayed in some of the best hotels across Paris, London, Venice, Brussels, you name it..we are blessed enough to stay where we please and simply expect a clean hotel room. If that is too much to ask then it is the hotel's prerogative to make the situation right. We did not ask for a filthy room or a change in our rewards status. It was first offered by the General Manager.
When my husband asked what the 9,000 points was worth we were told 'one half of a hotel stay' and that he would need at least 25 hotel stays to obtain Gold Status. Well, we won't cry over spilt milk, but we will never patron this Hotel again. Not only are they unable to deliver clean rooms they call their customers 'liars'. We would have been fine with clarification, i.e, 'We are sorry, our General Manager should have never made that promise' versus 'he never said that'.
The principle of the matter is more important than the cost. However, we paid $200 a night for a room that was 'filthy'. We slept in a bed that was used by another and it makes my skin crawl that it could easily happen to another family.More

First the good. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Best night sleep in a week. The breakfast was excellent—way better than at other embassy suites. The common areas are clean and welcoming. The bad-this is an old hotel so missing handles on the furniture could be forgiven. The filthy—woke up to a bathroom sink full of dirt/sand. When reported the desk clerk said “oh,slow running drai”. Much more than that. The dirt had to have been running from the faucet. Because of the great bed I gave it 2 stars
